Signs That You Need New Windows
You Have Single-Paned Windows
If your home has single-paned windows, you may be losing valuable heating or cooling energy dollars to the outdoors. Single-paned windows are not energy efficient—replacing them with either double- or triple-paned windows can make your home more comfortable and reduce your utility bills.
Your Windows Are Drafty
When it’s breezy outside, do you feel the wind even when you’re inside your home? If you do, it may be time to replace your windows. Drafty or leaky windows can further contribute to high electric bills, so they should be resealed or replaced altogether.
Condensation Won’t Disperse
If you have double- or triple-glazed windows already, but see condensation accumulating, consider replacing these windows. Condensation is a sign that the windows are not sealed properly or that they could be cracked.
Outside Noise Becomes Excessive
If you live on a busy street or near an airport, you may have to deal with a higher level of noise than someone on a quiet street. Old windows offer little to no protection from a loud environment, and constant noise can be stressful on a home’s inhabitants. New replacement windows offer less noise transmission so that you can relax and rest in the comfort of your own home.
